This gorgeous suite is named after the renowned historic figure Karl Marx. Following the European revolutions of 1848, the hotel became a refuge for political exiles from across Europe. In August 1849, Karl Marx, a prominent socialist leader and philosopher from Western Germany, arrived in London with his family. They stayed at Leicester House Hotel, where Marx began writing his influential work, "Das Kapital." They lived there for three months until 1850.
